I've decided to begin a blog on THINGS I WOULD CHANGE IN SCHOOLS with the purpose of sharing my ideas and having others add on to them. If we are lucky, then maybe we can file these ideas and send them to anyone who can actually make a change.
If I had a chance, and could create a new schooling system, I would probably teach some of the things I myself learnt, but I would definitively add the following.
If you have happen to stumble on this blog, I don't even know how blogging really works, add your own ideas and lets see what we have in common.
1) I would have a massaging class. Learning to touch others and to be touched is one of the most important things in a person's life. How many children are never touched by their parents. Maybe they were loved, but not hugged enough. Or maybe they were hugged enough but still never learnt to be cuddly with a person. Some people can only learn to be cuddly through sex. Others, can't even cuddle after intercourse.
So, why not have a massaging class. Don't we all enjoy receiving a massage as adults? Isn't the feeling os one's hands rubbing against your body something that relaxes you? Aren't massages and spas an expensive comodity? So, then, why not learn how to give and receive massages in our childhood years. If we did did, then as adults we wouldn't have to pay strangers to touch us. While taking exams at college we wouldn't be so stiff either. Even in our intimate relationships our partner wouldn't consider it a hassle, or something boring...
